Where do the numbers on a slide come from?
From your documents, and nowhere else: the CIM, the annual report, the board pack, the model you hand over. gedonus writes a figure only when it can read it out of one of them; it never fills the gap from the model’s own memory.
How do I check a figure myself?
Every sourced figure carries a citation. Click it and the document opens at the exact passage the number was read from (the page and line in the PDF, with the figure highlighted), so a number you’d otherwise rebuild by hand is confirmed in a couple of seconds.
What does “verified” actually mean?
A figure is marked verified only when the exact number appears in the passage it cites, confirmed by a second, independent read of the same page. Anything gedonus can show you but can’t stand behind is left unmarked rather than dressed up as certainty.
What if a number can’t be traced to a source?
gedonus never invents one. The figure is left as an open gap and flagged, with a note on what it couldn’t stand behind, so an unverified claim never quietly hardens into a fact on the slide.
Does a person still sign off before it ships?
Yes. Every edit lands in a review list, shape by shape, with its sources attached, and nothing reaches the deck until someone approves it. The record of who approved what stays with the file, so months later you can still show exactly how a number got there.
